Several municipal services presently located at the City on 99 building are relocating to the Coordinated Care Campus effective April 1, 2024.
The move includes: Enforcement Services, Mobile Outreach, Community Social Development (CSD), Housing & Homeless Initiatives (HHI), Grande Prairie Police Service (GPPS) and Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership (GPREP).
It is anticipated that the relocation will require a two-week transition period before departments are fully operational again, but all critical services will remain available to residents to ensure service continuity and a seamless transition with minimal community impact.
Service Disruptions
In-person services and payments are available through AccessGP at City Hall for animal licensing, parking ticket payments, SUPERPASS reloading and applications for the Recreation Access Pass, Transit Access Pass and Explore GP Welcome package.
All services currently available online will remain accessible through the City's website.
During the Enforcement Services' move, administrative inquiries and specific bylaw-related questions will face temporary disruptions. Calls to the department's mainline will be directed to voicemail, as staff will not have immediate access to phones or emails. Direct consultations with officers for bylaw issues, violation tickets, or complaints will be unavailable.
As the GPPS administrative team transitions to the Coordinated Care Campus, the City would like to remind residents that the RCMP continues to serve as the police of jurisdiction for the City of Grande Prairie. This move does not affect police services, and the RCMP will continue to maintain full policing responsibilities within the City, including 911 dispatch for emergencies.
