Two additional marked Grande Prairie Police Service patrol vehicles are now in operation out of the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment. With their arrival, a total of six patrol vehicles are dedicated exclusively to GPPS officers for their patrol duties.

As more patrol vehicles hit the streets, residents will notice an even further increased presence of the GPPS fleet, which also includes vehicles assigned to the Community Standards Unit, as well as those used for training, recruitment, and executive functions.

GPPS aims to have its entire fleet of marked vehicles by the end of the year. The RCMP remains the police of primary jurisdiction for the City of Grande Prairie.
